Clam Session

Definitions

Clam Session: A Clam Session is the achievement of a match record of 2-5 during the Swiss rounds of a Magic: the Gathing tournament.
Clampionship Event: A Clampionship Event is any Magic: the Gathering tournament consisting of seven or more rounds of Swiss pairings.
Order of the Clam (OC): A member of the Order of the Clam (post-nominal "OC") is bound by the rules governing Clam Sessions.
Order of the Iron Clam (OIC): A member of the Order of the Iron Clam (post-nominal "OIC") is bound by all rules governing members of the Order of the Clam, together with the additional obligations described below.

Rules of a Clam Session

During a Clampionship event, any member of the Order of the Clam or the Order of the Iron Clam who remains capable of achieving a final match record of 2-5 is considered to be live for a Clam Session.

A member who is live for a Clam Session must not voluntarily drop from the event unless either:

they become unable to finish with a record of 2-5; or
they achieve a record of 2-5.

Upon achieving a Clam Session, the member must immediately drop from the event.

The member shall then be awarded a copy of Clam Session, signed by every member of the Order of the Clam and Order of the Iron Clam present at the event.

The Iron Clam

If a member of the Order of the Iron Clam achieves a Clam Session, they incur an enClamberment.

For each enClamberment they possess, the member is required to register one copy of Clam Session in their sideboard at every subsequent Clampionship event they enter.

An enClamberment may be removed only by achieving a match record of 5-2 or better in a Clampionship event. Each 5-2 (or better) result removes exactly one enClamberment.

A member with one or more outstanding enClamberments is formally described as being enClambered.

Big Winner

When an enClambered member of the Order of the Iron Clam achieves a match record of 5-2 or better, one enClamberment is discharged and the member is awarded a Big Winner.

Every Big Winner is signed by all members of the Order of the Clam and Order of the Iron Clam present at the event.
